AdSense Keeps Rejecting Your Site? These 2 Hidden Checks Might Be the Reason

Between October and November 2024, I repeatedly received Google AdSense rejection emails.😞

I had created a new blog in early 2025 and continued applying for AdSense approval, but every attempt ended in rejection.

Despite checking numerous YouTube videos and searching extensively on Google, the rejections continued.

It was only then that I realized I had overlooked a crucial issue: certain topics on my blog were having a decisive impact on my AdSense application being rejected.

If you have applied for Google AdSense multiple times, chances are that the quality of your content itself is not the problem.😟

However, if your application keeps getting rejected, I recommend checking the following points first.

1. Is Your Content Topic Considered High-Risk by AdSense?

In my case, I initially had several posts related to health and medical topics on my blog.

They were not promotional or affiliate-based articles, and they consistently received traffic, so I kept them published for several months. However, after multiple failed AdSense applications, I made the difficult decision to remove those posts before my final attempt and that was when my application was finally approved.

Even after passing AdSense, I chose not to restore those articles, despite the time and effort I had put into writing them.

Content on these topics has a very high likelihood of contributing to AdSense rejection.

High-Risk Topics to Be Careful With

1) Medical, health, and supplement-related content

Without clear medical credentials, professional authority, or reliable sources, these types of articles are frequently rejected by AdSense.

While researching English-language AdSense discussions, I came across posts from users who claimed to hold professional dental licenses and had articles receiving nearly 100,000 views — yet their AdSense applications were still rejected. This suggests that even blogs with strong medical expertise and credentials may struggle to get approved if their overall focus is heavily centered on medical content.

2) Finance, investment, and loan-related content

These topics fall into a similar high-risk category and are often treated just as strictly as medical content.

My Recommendation

If your goal is to get AdSense approval as quickly and safely as possible, it is best to avoid publishing medical or finance-related content altogether.

If you already have a few posts in these categories, consider temporarily unpublishing them or keeping them in draft mode before reapplying. Once your site is approved, you can decide whether or not to revisit those topics.

An example showing essential pages such as About, Contact, Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, and Privacy Policy, which are important signals for Google AdSense credibility review.
About / Contact / Terms of Service / Cookie Policy / Privacy Policy pages are key elements that Google AdSense uses to evaluate a website’s credibility and accountability during the review process.

2. Do You Have These Pages on Your Blog or Website?

About / Contact / Privacy Policy / Terms of Service

Before approving a site, Google AdSense checks whether the blog is operated by a real person and whether the site can be held accountable.

Among these pages, the Privacy Policy is especially critical.
I personally underestimated its importance at first, but it is, in fact, a mandatory requirement for AdSense approval.

For this reason, I strongly recommend adding the following pages to your blog or website:

  • About

  • Contact

  • Privacy Policy

  • Terms of Service

Having these pages clearly accessible helps establish trust and signals that your site is responsibly managed.

3.Do You Have a Cookie Consent Banner on Your Site?

Before approving a website, Google AdSense also checks whether users are properly informed about cookies and data collection.
One simple way to demonstrate this is by displaying a cookie consent banner or cookie consent popup on your site.

A cookie consent banner informs visitors that your website uses cookies for analytics, advertising, and other essential functions, and allows them to manage their preferences.
If your site uses tools like Google Analytics, AdSense, or other third-party services, having this banner in place is strongly recommended.

If you are unsure, visit your site in an incognito window and check whether a cookie consent notice appears when the page loads.
Overlooking this small detail can negatively affect your AdSense application, even if your content quality is otherwise sufficient.

4. Does Traffic Volume Matter?

Short answer: No.

My blog receives between and 15 visitors per day, and according to Google Search Console, only 1 to 5 visitors per day come from search results.

I mainly write travel stories aimed at both Korean and international travelers, which means I have multiple posts covering the same topics written separately in Korean and English.
Based on my experience, this did not negatively affect my AdSense application.

As long as your content is well-written, sufficiently detailed, and provides real value, traffic volume itself is not a critical factor for AdSense approval.

Final Thoughts

The first two points mentioned above are topics that are rarely discussed on other blogs, yet they had a decisive impact on my AdSense approval.

If your application keeps getting rejected, I strongly recommend double-checking whether you may have overlooked these factors.
